Oh Wednesday, how I wish you were really Friday. But alas, you’re not. So sad. Although I guess I can’t complain too much. Hubs and I are gonna get our old school rock on when we pile into First Mariner Arena in Baltimore to see Journey in concert tonight (part of my bday gift to him for when he turned 30). I have to admit I’m not a die-hard fan or anything. But I wanted to do something fun for him other than our normal dinner out. It was a tough call since my alternative choice was getting tickets to see Sesame Street Live (which I found out we’re taking the baby girl to anyway). Se la vie. Journey today, Elmo on Saturday. What a life.
And as is typical for a Wednesday, here is the fab-o word of the day courtesy of Addictionary:

Word count’s got me down…I’ve been in a slump for the past week and I actually have a negative word count now which I place blame on my internal editor (whose stop button apparently broke). The words I do have are crap and I think I’ve written one chapter three different ways and I’m still not happy with it. What’s more is that I haven’t even introduced the beginning of my main plot line yet and I’m on chapter 7! I know after the first draft I can go back and add and subtract all these things…but WTF?!
August is so not my month. Hopefully September will bring happier word count my way.
But despite all my word count woes, I’m bringing you a fabulous new word to ponder. Who knows, maybe it’ll kick my muse in the a**.

This Wednesday marks the middle of a very looooong week for me. I was on vacation all last week and had a marvelous time. But I think my brain is still back in Florida. On the beach. Sipping margaritas. With salt.
This week at the day job has been painstakingly slow and no amount of java in the world has been able to get me out of this dilapidated funk. Hopefully today’s word of the day will spark…I dunno…something.

Alas, it is Wednesday. The light grows brighter and soon the weekend will be here. To jumpstart that sluggish feeling typically associated with the Midweek Blues, here’s another Word of the Day to add to your vocabulary. I, myself, am rather fond of today’s word. I hope you enjoy it, too!

Happy Hump Day everyone! To help you hurdle over the mid-week slump, here’s a new word to add to your internal dictionary (as if you don’t have enough useless words stored up in that noggin of yours)…
